§ Skiers and PWC operators should NOT jump other vessel wakes.
§ Maintain "No Wake" Idle speeds (50' by law in VA-100' in NC) at all bridges, near swimmers, skiers down, anchored vessels, and docking and marina areas. The vessel operator is liable for any damage caused by his vessel to other persons or property.
§ Learn to recognize the Buoys on the lake and use proper care when they are seen. It is unlawful to tie or moor to buoys or to bridge structures.
§ PWC's, water skis. kneeboards and towed floats are not to operate on the lake before sunrise or after sunset. It is unsafe to tow these items under bridges.
§ DO NOT operate in excess of safe speed when entering channels or congested areas.
§ DO NOT LITTER! Stow all trash so that it will not blow out of vessel when underway.
§ Inboard gasoline engine carburetors must be equipped with USCG approved flame arrestors.
